ABOUT ME
I came into the world of Art quite late and without any real desire for it.
I’d messed about with art at school, but didn’t show any talent for it.
I started work as a baker/confectioner at the age of 15, then left to join the British Army at the age of 17 and a half.. After nearly 23 years service, I returned to civilian life and worked in various jobs. I was even a teacher at one stage.
Then in 1996, I had open-heart surgery. Finding myself with time on my hands, I started drawing and it seemed to come all at once . I do regret not having had formal art training, but I am learning all the time. My favourite style of art is ‘Pop Art’, to me it seems so informal. My ambition is to show my work in a gallery. Maybe one day eh? Hopefully while I can still hold a pencil or brush.
